Florida 4-H Exhibits

We have a beautiful full-size exhibit for county 4-H programs to check out. The exhibit is noted on the schedule below in green as 4-H Youth Exhibit. If you would like to check out the exhibit, please email fourh@ifas.ufl.edu and send a reservation form (ms-word file  pdf file). Forms can also be faxed to (352)846-0999.

Reservations for the youth exhibit are accepted from county 4-H agents and organizations seeking to learn more about 4-H. Reservations are not accepted over the phone. Please notify us of cancellations IMMEDIATELY as we may have someone else waiting (someone just like you!) who needs the exhibit. Please make your reservation at least two weeks in advance. The state 4-H staff reserves the right to pull back the exhibit for important events as needed. We make every effort not to cancel an exhibit reservation. Please recognize that it may not be possible (or fair) to accommodate long gaps of time in a reservation request because of demand.

The youth exhibit weights 80 pounds and is in a large black case. The case can be used as a countertop for brochures. It includes instructions and a brush for cleaning. The organization borrowing the exhibit is responsible for its care. The large exhibit costs $3,000 to replace and the photo panels cost over $200. If the exhibit is returned missing parts or photos, the organization borrowing it will be charged to replace them. Please recognize that if you do not pack the exhibit with all of its parts, you may impede the effectiveness of the next group borrowing it, so please make sure all of the photos and pieces get back into the case. The state 4-H office will assume the cost of one-way shipping and the organization borrowing it will assume the cost of return shipping or the cost of shipping it to the next group borrowing it. It can cost around $100 to ship the exhibit one-way. If you do not return the exhibit in a timely manner, you will be billed.

The State 4-H Office owns a second exhibit (noted on the schedule as 2nd Exhibit in red), which is typically reserved for state 4-H staff use or events in the immediate Gainesville area. To request this exhibit, please use the reservation form.
